This Event will take Place at
Mimosa Hall & Gardens
123 Bulloch Avenue
Roswell GA 30075
Spend an evening at Mimosa Hall interacting with our 26th president, Teddy Roosevelt, as he tells stories about his life and his time as president.
As part of our America 250 celebration, the City of Roswell presents a special evening event at Mimosa Hall where participants meet and interact with America’s larger than life 26th president, Teddy Roosevelt, who visited Roswell in 1905.
Joe Wiegand is the world’s premiere Teddy Roosevelt re-enactor. He looks, sounds and acts like President Roosevelt. He is a scholar and historian and answers questions as TR in real time. Joe Wiegand has even performed at the White House! It is remarkable and often uncanny to experience Joe’s programs and the way he interacts with audiences. For nearly twenty-five years, Joe Wiegand has performed as Theodore Roosevelt, champion of conservation, progressivism and racial equality.
The show is educational, inspiring and funny. As Teddy Roosevelt, Joe tells stories of his time as president and of his adventures, from the cattle country of Dakota Territory to the charge up Kettle Hill in Cuba during the Spanish-American War. He remembers the construction of the Panama Canal, his safari in Africa and his exploration of the River of Doubt in the Amazon.
